We help homeowners, property managers and businesses find heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration professionals across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Where listings come from

• OpenStreetMap. Our initial 2,004 published listings come from businesses tagged as HVAC contractors in OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database License (ODbL). Most recent import: October 15, 2026.
• Contractor submissions and claims, reviewed before publication.
• Additional licensed sources (state licensing boards, business registries, approved data providers) only where their terms permit directory use.

We do not scrape Google Maps, Yelp or other platforms in violation of their terms.

How we process data

Imported records are standardized, de-duplicated and placed into counties using U.S. Census Bureau boundaries. Where a source record lacks a city or ZIP code we estimate it from the business location and say so on the profile. Records that cannot be contacted or located are held for manual review rather than published.

Verification

We track business identity, profile ownership, contractor licensing, certifications and insurance separately. We never describe a business as licensed, insured, certified or verified without a current supporting record.

Rankings and advertising

Organic results are ordered by distance and profile completeness. Paid placements are labelled “Featured” or “Sponsored” and are never presented as unbiased rankings.

Corrections

Every profile has a “Report an issue” link. Businesses can claim their listing to correct it directly.
